Canoas de Punta Sal

One of three districts based in the province of Contralmirante Villar, Canoas de Punta Sal is a good pit stop location for those looking to reach the natural reserves that surround it. There’s Parque Nacional Cerros De Amotape and Coto de Caza El Angolo, two natural reserves just east of Canoas that are home to pretty cascades that wash over quirky rock formations and crystal clear creeks surrounded by lush vegetation. Canoas is also near the region of Tumbes, where you’ll find its namesake capital. Home to beaches and mangroves, Tumbes is the ideal place to visit if you’re looking for a break from your outdoor adventures. It’s dry and warm, giving it the ideal conditions for both relaxed days under the sun and thrilling watersport adventures.
