These magnificent glamping tents can be found on a unique yoga retreat in the heart of the countryside of Central Portugal. With amazing views both night and day of either the valley or the intense brilliance of the stars, guests will be blown away by the staggering beauty. Guests have the option of a double bed, two twin-size beds, or one single bed, all made of rich mahogany wood. These tents are just steps away from indoor toilet facilities and outdoor showers.
Inside, guests can enjoy the use of electricity for lighting and hot water bottles and blankets for heating. Towels are provided for guests, as well as mosquito nets for hot summer nights. The tents feature carpeted floors and chests of drawers for storage, so guests will feel right at home.
Outside of the tent, guests can savor the encompassing views from the lounge furniture and enjoy relaxing in the hammocks found outside of their accommodation. The main kitchen, garden, library with Wi-Fi, and yoga studio are all located within a short walk from the tents, where guests can prepare meals and interact with other like-minded guests.
There is an on-site restaurant facility serving three delicious vegetarian meals each day, included in the price of guests' stay on retreat.

This family-run yoga retreat offers a variety of retreats every week between March until October. The retreats begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday and go on until the following Saturday at 2 p.m. If guests want to make a whole vacation out of this experience, they could spend a day or two in Lisbon (or Porto) and then head to the glamping site on Sunday for the retreat. There is a 1:30 p.m. coach from Sete Rios coach station to Oleiros, where everyone is picked up by car. The return coaches are Saturday 8 a.m. or 3 p.m. from Oleiros to Lisbon or Porto.
Since this retreat is focused upon relaxing and re-energizing yourself, the site offers massage and acupuncture along with yoga sessions. Included in the accommodation price is a 30-minute health consultation with tongue and pulse diagnosis to examine overall well-being, followed by an hour long massage and acupuncture of guests' choice. During the rest of guests' stay, they can book as many extra sessions as they'd like. A variety of styles of yoga is taught through the year by some delightful and inspiring teachers, who will take care of guests and inspire them in their practice.
Outdoor activities are in abundance as well. Explore Eira de Miguel and Felgueiras, abandoned villages with houses built in the 17th century. Some Portuguese families return to the village throughout the year to look after their grapes and olives and harvest their pine and eucalyptus trees, but no one lives in the villages year round.
Within half an hour drive, guests will find Álvaro, Oleiros, Orvalho, Cambas, and Estreito, all of which have cafés and restaurants, shops, and more of the rich traditional Portuguese rural culture to experience. There are natural river pools cascading through the valley for glampers to cool off and swim in. One afternoon of the retreat will be spent at the Rio Zêzere for a mud bath in isolated paradise. It’s an ancient therapy as well as an incredible skin cleanse. On the way back, guests can stop into the cafés of Abitureira to meet some of the lovely locals.
