This converted vintage truck near Coimbra in Portugal provides two guests with a unique campervan style vacation. The truck includes a double bed with linens and a mosquito net. Shared bathroom facilities are found a short distance away in the main house, where the hosts live. Towels are kindly provided.

Inside, there is a little table with two stools that overlooks the yard, a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee with the fresh breeze rolling in. There is a fold-out deck so guests can sleep with lovely views and fresh air. Guests will enjoy a wood burning stove and cooker inside of the truck, so home-cooked meals in a unique space are an option.

Outside, there is plenty of grass for some lawn games, and a small sandy area with deckchairs, where guests can recline and enjoy the sun. The charming town of Coimbra is a short drive away and offers many cultural activities, while in the immediate area, guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, from fishing to paint-balling.

This Eco glamping property is located six kilometers from the town of Pedrógão Grande, Portugal, which lies on the northern banks of the Zêzere River and Lake Cabril. The town is about a two and a half hour drive north from Lisbon and an hour and a half southwest of Porto and can be accessed by highways ICB and N2. Nearby towns also include Pedrógão Pequeno, Mosteiro, and the world heritage site of Tomar. The beautiful historical city of Coimbra is a 35-minute drive away. The Portuguese countryside is filled with endless hills and forests, and the peaceful river and lake are overlooked from the property. The town center is quite small, but there is beautiful traditional Portuguese architecture, churches and restaurants.

This location is ideal for guests who are looking for a unique glamping experience with many outdoor activities and tourist attractions. The town itself is quite small, but the traditional Portuguese lifestyle can be experienced through the architecture, churches, restaurants, and bars. There are some ancient and interesting bridges that are great for sightseeing and photography. Many wineries can be accessed by car, as well as nearby Porto, a city that attracts many tourists. In Porto, guests can explore the city through a tour, by visiting a Fado show, or by tasting local gastronomy.

Besides exploring the town and other larger cities, property itself has amazing access to the river, lake, and forests. There is a dam located just north of the property, and the large lake is great for many watersports such as boating, jet skiing, waterskiing, kayaking, and canoeing. Fishing is also quite popular in the river and lake, where there is a variety of fish to catch. There is a beach on the river, called Praia Fluviais, so guests can go and sunbathe, swim, or have a picnic. Nearby trails to the property allow for great hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding access, with views of the mountains, rivers, and bridges.

This property is completely eco and self-sufficient and runs on solar power for electricity and hot water. There are composting or soak away toilets. It is not advised to use the barbecue during the warm weather months. It is recommended that guests provide their own transportation, but rides to and from the town center can be arranged by the host if needed.
