Located near the lovely town of Coimbra in Portugal, this cozy yurt rental sleeps up to five guests, making it a great option for a glamping adventure with the family. Inside, guests will find a large double bed, and extra beds can be provided on request. Private bathroom facilities are located outside, with a wooden hut containing a composting toilet, and a solar powered shower. Towels and linens are kindly provided.

While guests relax in bed they can gaze at the stars underneath of the open air roof. The yurt is also equipped with a comfy lounge chair, a washing sink, a vanity with a mirror, and a closet for storing luggage and other belongings. There is also a cast wood iron stove for cooking and heating, and outside there is an additional kitchen area for more room during the warmer months.

Outside the yurt, there is an ample sized deck with chairs and a rustic wooden table overlooking a private garden area and the river in the distance, which makes for a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee in the sunshine. The town is about a two and a half hour drive north from Lisbon and an hour and a half southwest of Porto and can be accessed by highways ICB and N2. Nearby towns also include Pedrógão Pequeno, Mosteiro, and the world heritage site of Tomar. The beautiful historical city of Coimbra is a 35-minute drive away. The Portuguese countryside is filled with endless hills and forests, and the peaceful river and lake are overlooked from the property. This location is ideal for guests who are looking for a unique glamping experience with many outdoor activities and tourist attractions. The town itself is quite small, but the traditional Portuguese lifestyle can be experienced through the architecture, churches, restaurants, and bars. There are some ancient and interesting bridges that are great for sightseeing and photography. Many wineries can be accessed by car, as well as nearby Porto, a city that attracts many tourists. In Porto, guests can explore the city through a tour, by visiting a Fado show, or by tasting local gastronomy.

Besides exploring the town and other larger cities, property itself has amazing access to the river, lake, and forests. There is a dam located just north of the property, and the large lake is great for many watersports such as boating, jet skiing, waterskiing, kayaking, and canoeing. Fishing is also quite popular in the river and lake, where there is a variety of fish to catch. There is a beach on the river, called Praia Fluviais, so guests can go and sunbathe, swim, or have a picnic.
