You can also hike, or drive, up Prospect Mountain, where the views from the summit are breathtaking. Cat and Thomas Mountains, near Bolton Landing, are two more great places for a hike. Owned by the Lake George Land Conservancy, the Cat and Thomas Mountain Preserve offers a variety of trails that range in difficulty. A few other of our favorite hikes around Lake George include Black Mountain and Sleeping Beauty Mountain. Any of these hiking trails are a great way to explore the area and enjoy the colors of the season while on your fall getaways.
