Secluded Camping in India
Audrey Foushee: "My 10 y/o daughter and I stayed in the red cabin as a weekend getaway from home in Austin. The cabin was cozy - accommodates two. We loved the adjoining bath cabin. Nightly she'd relax in a bubble bath and I sipped wine on the deck outside. The grounds are nice. Cute decor everywhere. We walked down to the boathouse but didn't take a swim. I prearranged two catered meals: a dinner and breakfast. Both were perfectly done. Dinner was enjoyed on the rooftop deck over the bath cabin. Lovely sunset view. There's not much to do at the cabins but we knew this ahead of time. We ventured out each day. Go to Cypress Valley Canopy Tours. Book a morning tour during the summer and wear your swimsuits for a dip in their pool after zipping through the beautiful tree lines. Head out to Krause Springs for an afternoon. River gear is a must for the adventure. And they have an air hose on site! Spicewood has quite a bit to offer and the EcoCabins is a great place for your base camp. Emma and Jordan were perfect hosts!"
Janet McKee: "We had a fantastic time in our tiny house. It was peaceful and secluded, yet it was close to many activities and attractions. We loved being able to sit outside at night and enjoy the stars and eat our breakfast outside as well. We were cozy, as with 4 of us we had to leave our suitcases in the car, but that was OK. The only suggestions I would offer would be to have a few extra towels and washclothes. There were 4 of us and we only had 3 towels, luckily we had a few extras in our car. I would also recommend a fitted sheet for the futon when it is used for sleeping. We loved our tiny house experience and would gladly do it again and would recommend to others!"
Cheryl Owczarzak: "Our experience was wonderful. We were looking to get away and really unplug and that was exactly what we got. Not internet, no crowds, not rushing. It was great! We were there midweek and had the camp virtually to ourselves. The staff was so accommodating. They helped us with whatever we needed and then some. We can't wait to find time to go back again."Show More
