Secluded Tree Cabin with Fire Pit & Hammock in Romania

Hut in Dâmbovicioara, Sud-Muntenia Region

3 guests • 1 bedroom • 2 beds • 0 bathrooms

New

Escape to a remote tree cabin surrounded by nature and overlooking the southern Făgăraș Mountains. Built using reclaimed wood, doors, and other reused materials, this off-grid retreat was thoughtfully created with an emphasis on conservation, reduced waste, and minimal energy use.

The insulated cabin is heated and uses a solar photovoltaic system for power. There is no running water or private bathroom. Instead, guests have access to a composting toilet and a shared outdoor shower. The shower serves four cabins and uses water that can be heated with a small wood-fired stove. During winter, the shower may be unavailable when temperatures fall below freezing.

Outside, relax in a hammock, take peaceful walks, prepare meals at the designated barbecue area, or gather around a campfire. A grill and cooking utensils are provided. Inside, guests will find plates, cups, wine glasses, cutlery, a wine opener, salt, sugar, oil, vinegar, and coffee.

Water for washing hands and dishes is provided in a 15-litre container, with additional non-drinking water available from a fountain on the property.

The cabin is one of four accommodations spread approximately 100 meters apart, allowing guests to enjoy privacy and quiet natural surroundings. Because a living tree grows through the cabin, small harmless insects may occasionally be present during warmer months.
