Guests staying at the lodge should have a certain curiosity for South African culture and big game. Most of the activities on the property involve experiencing life on the safari firsthand through the wisdom of a hand-picked guide, whose aim is to make guests feel comfortable and excited about the culture and the incredible animals they'll see.

The safari lodge hosts five main events: game drives, in which guests are given a brief safety training before are taken out in open 4x4 Land Cruisers to spy all the game possible in the area, with help from the keen-eyed guides and security; game walks, in which guides will lead guests on walking trails to get a closer look at plants, trees, and insects local to the area; private 4x4 safari tours, in which guests who have a specific interest and desire to spend more time looking at specific plains or animals may go out in the Land Cruiser with a guide to spend more time on these interests; stargazing, in which guests are given the opportunity to lay out under the African sky and use a mead telescope to get a closer look at the stars; birding, in which guests who might be passionate about birds are able to spend time in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser admiring and learning more about birds with the resident bird specialist.

During the day, guests are welcome to participate in any of the activities taking place at the safari lodge, such as a town tour, meeting hippos, engaging with elephants, and even going for a ride in a hot air balloon.
