About this place
Moja: This tree house is settled high up in the canopy of a unique baobab tree. It has a huge deck that encircles the tree house. On the deck you have views of the beautiful white sand beaches, and are able to dolphin watch right from there! The tree house is one level and includes a king-sized bed, a shower built in a bamboo grove, and a toilet.
Mbili: This is the biggest tree house on site and offers two floors, each with a double bed. The second floor of the tree house offers spectacular views of the mangrove trees and African forest. The tree house has its own outdoor shower along with a toilet located in the house garden.
Tatu: This site can be reached by passing through a beautiful tunnel completely enclosed with foliage. The house has perfect views of the sea, and is the closest tree house to the ocean. The tree house is built under two separate roofs and has a staircase to connect the two. There is a shower and toilet in a gorgeous rock garden below the house.
Nne: This tree house is unique because of its “tea house” design. This design allows for the open top level to receive refreshing breezes and a 360-degree view of the gorgeous African sunset. This house also has a brilliant view to the open ocean and an amazing shower and toilet.
Tano: This tree house also has a “tea house” design, which allows for the refreshing breezes to get through, and also provides breathtaking views of Chloe Bay. The tree house is right in the midst of the forest and offers a perfect viewing spot for the wildlife in the trees. This site also has a spacious shower and a renovated toilet.
Sita: This is the only ground tree house available built to accommodate small children and anyone who fears heights. This tree house has a flushing toilet, a mosaic bath, and a shower. Sita has multiple levels to form separate areas; one area includes a king-size bed, and the other two areas have Zabzibari beds. The site even has a bed to lay out on the porch during the day! This site is perfect for a young family and is right in the middle of the spacious gardens and massive mangroves.
Saba: This is one of the biggest tree houses offered and the beach is in your front yard. The “tea house” offers beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean where you can witness the sunset over the water. The house comfortably fits two adults and two children. The site has a large deck perfect for sun bathing during the day and star gazing at night. The house also has a spacious shower and a toilet.
The facility offers beautiful dining areas with fresh seafood and baked products served straight from the kitchens. Enjoy the rooftop bar at night to witness the gorgeous African skies. The beach bar offers almost 360-degree ocean views, faces the setting sun, and from here you can see the moon rise over the water as the dolphins and fish return to rest and giant Comorian fruit bats leave the island for nocturnal foraging. The facilities provide a truly relaxing atmosphere, and if the views aren't enough, order up a traditional massage to help you unwind.

The beautiful island offers so many adventurous activities to indulge in. Along with snorkeling opportunities, dive instructors are available to teach you how to witness the marine life throughout the beautiful coral reefs around the island. This island also provides you the opportunity (October - March) to swim along side and learn about whale sharks, one of the most interesting gentle giants of the world.
The coast of Mafia is home to two different species of sea turtles. Walk through coastal forest to the east coast beaches of Juani, and at the right time of year (June - September) witness these magnificent creatures hatch. The clear blue waters and white sandbars are breathtaking and a perfect place to take in the African sun or throw a picnic. Mafia is also home to the ruins of Kua Palace. Mafia Island is full of marine wildlife, and the island also offers day trips to see humpback whales (August and October). Additionally, peak scuba diving season goes from October through March. The site also has many projects in partnership with Chole village. You can take a guided walk and with an introduction to the community and learn about life in this part of the world.
All year round, however, glampers will enjoy exploring the ruins and forests, the Mangrove Channels, inland saltwater pools, the Chole Village Walk, and sunset cruises, as well as scuba diving, snorkeling, sandbank sunbathing and picnics, and stand up paddleboarding.
