This cozy vacation cottage is tucked away in the Tamar Valley and surrounded by some of the most beautiful countrysides in the south of England. It is a former mine forge of a Victorian tin mine, the mine is part of the World Heritage Site and set in 16 acres of woodland with numerous ruined mine buildings and enjoys elevated views across the river. From the covered veranda, guests will be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery directly on their doorstep. and inside, the picturesque home is perfect for two to enjoy a rural getaway. There is a spacious master bedroom with a comfortable double-bed, and if needed there is an additional pull out sofa bed in the living space. A fully equipped kitchen has everything that glampers will need for an easy self-catering getaway including a stove, oven, fridge, and microwave as well as all pots, pans, and utensils. The living space is of an open plan design so guests will find the kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining and living areas where there is a two person dining table, and a comfortable sofa where guests can relax in front of the television.

Glampers will find themselves immersed in beautiful countryside the moment they step foot outside of the home and the stunning veranda makes the perfect place to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a relaxing glass of wine as the sun goes down over the hillsides.

Glampers will find their accommodation fully furnished and complete with everything guests will need for a relaxing vacation. Free parking is available just adjacent to the property and for unloading and offloading guests can park outside the property. As phone and Wi-Fi connectivity is not very strong here, a landline is available for guests to use that accepts both incoming and outgoing calls.

This glamping destination is nestled away on 16 acres of the stunning natural woodland surrounding the Tamar river, in the south of England where Devon becomes Cornwall. The site and its surrounds boasts a rich and varied landscape of pristine woodland abundant in wildlife, rolling hillsides, and cliffs that famously inspired the Turner painting, “Crossing the Brook”. When wandering through this landscape glampers will come across telltale ruins of the regions industrial past with chimneys and old factory buildings that punctuate the hillsides. To reach the local village it is only a short ten-minute walk, where glampers can enjoy the local pubs, pick up any essentials at the local shop, or visit the village art gallery. From here there is also the branch line railway station and the National Trust site of Cotehele.

Bookings from 1st June until 7th September can be 7 or 14 nights from Friday to Friday. Christmas and New Years in 2017 can also be 7 or 14 nights from Wednesday to Wednesday.

Anyone arriving in a low clearance vehicle should just check with the hosts about the suitability on the driveway or park a little further out on the road.

This property is suitable for pets and there is a maximum of two pets.

All bookings include cancellation insurance due to illness (subject to receipt of acceptable doctor’s note - Glamping Hub booking and service fees cannot be refunded and there is a £20 admin fee)
