This pet-friendly yurt rental is based near Southampton within South Downs National Park amid ancient woodland on a 450-acre Victorian estate and it makes for an extraordinary glamping getaway. The yurt has its own private bonfire area, allowing guests to enjoy a relatively secluded setting, around 100 meters from the estate's other yurts. Inside, guests will find a beautifully decorated interior with wooden floors, Kelims, romantic fairy lights, a wood burner, and one adult-size camp bed for any additional guests. The double bed boasts an iron bedstead and comes with down duvets, feathered pillows, and a comfortable mattress as well as a vintage iron bedstead and plenty of extra blankets.

Additionally, guests will have access to a private and fully-stocked safari kitchen complete with cast iron cookware, hot running water, and a gas hob. Outside the yurt, guests also will be able to unwind in their hammock, which is tied between two chestnut trees before collecting chestnuts to roast around the fire pit and share stories of the day’s adventures.

The property offers a shared kitchen area, which is filled with every necessary facility and utensil that guests will need to cook their meals throughout their stay. Glampers will also have access to shared bathrooms and showers.

One of the county's biggest claims to fame is that it was the birthplace of both Charles Dickens and Jane Austen, two prominent authors who are still well-known, read, and loved in this day in age. Southampton and Portsmouth are the two largest ports in southern England and are two must-visit places in Hampshire county, with attractions like the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the Royal Armories. The Winchester Cathedral in Winchester is also a site that cannot be missed. The property is just one mile from the center of Petersfield and is within easy reach of the South Downs National Park.

This property is also a paradise for tennis enthusiasts as it sports its own on-site tennis court. There is a myriad of restaurants, cafes, and shops in the nearby town of Petersfield. Here, guests can also find Petersfield Lake, the wonderful Physic Garden, the local golf club, an outdoor swimming pool, art galleries, and museums.

All our spaces suit a couple or a family of four. Arrival days are Monday Wednesday and Friday 4pm. Weekends are three nights and midweek stays are two nights or four nights. Dogs are extra, depending on size and they must be pre-approved.
