This spacious, family-friendly yurt is nestled in the countryside in Surrey, England, and can comfortably accommodate six guests for an amazing camping getaway. Impeccably designed, guests will be delighted by the thoughtful furnishings and amenities in this accommodation and throughout the property.

There is a comfy king-size bed, a futon that transforms into a full-size bed, and two futon chairs that convert into single beds. Linens and towels are provided.

The plush futons and chairs are perfect for curling up with a good book. There is a hand-crafted wood table with benches for enjoying a meal or tackling a puzzle. The wood-burning stove makes the yurt cozy and warm when it gets chilly outside. The top of the stove is perfect for boiling water for tea and coffee. At night, the lanterns envelop guests in a golden glow.

Other amenities include a chest of drawers, a room divider, blanket box with additional warm blankets, a basket of logs or the stove (extra logs available for a charge), a lantern with a candle, biodegradable toiletries, and basic cooking ingredients.

Outside, there are sweeping views of the countryside.

Glamping is a fabulous way to get back to nature all-year round. When it gets chilly outside, the wood-burning stoves keep the yurts warm and the lanterns envelop guests in a peaceful glow. While each yurt was lovingly furnished and impeccably designed to accommodate four or six guests. Up to eight guests are permitted for an additional cost.

The shared kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cups, plates, pans, cast iron pots/pans for cooking on fire, cutlery, a few gas hobs for cooking, a sink with hot water, a handmade wooden table for 12 people, board games, and cooking necessities (tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil, etc.). Guests can use the wood-burning stove inside their yurt to boil a kettle and the gas-fired stoves and a fire pit in the communal area to cook on.

The luxurious shared shower is just a short walk from the yurts and, though it looks rustic from the outside, the inside is luxurious with eco-friendly products, towels, and warm running water. The shared toilets are a practical, chemical free, easy to maintain and environmentally friendly solution that is situated in a hut that blends well with the surroundings.

On arrival, the hosts will show guests around the site and how to use the wood-burning stoves, run through a few health and safety bits and bobs and inspiration with some ideas to help make the most of the surrounding Surrey Hills.

Fresh linens and towels are provided for each new guest and they are changed every three or four days for those on an extended visit. Guests that require a more or less frequent change are asked to let the hosts know on arrival.

The site has no electricity. Lanterns and torches are provided, which adds to the ambiance of the experience.

An ecologically-conscientious accommodation, bins are provided for guest use for the recycling of newspapers, magazines, glass bottles, plastic bottles, and cans. The hosts provide coffee, sugar, tea, shampoos, and washing liquid in serving dishes/bottles as opposed to small pre-packed sealed portions. The shampoo, shower gel, and handwash are also purchased in five-liter containers to minimize waste. All plastic bottles/containers that can be recycled are firstly crushed and then taken to an appropriate recycling facility. All suitable kitchen and garden waste is composted. Washing of towels and linens only when necessary/requested thereby keeping detergent, energy, and water usage to a minimum. Water is heated by gas or solar panels. The hosts use micro-fiber cloths when cleaning, which require less detergent, and use sufficient eco-friendly cleaning chemicals to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards while ensuring nothing is used to excess. The washing up liquid used is purchased in five-liter containers and is vegetable-based, 100% Vegan, biodegradable, and has a minimal environmental impact. When cleaning chemicals are required in yurts and cooking area, they are 100% biodegradable and phosphate free, if possible. All toilet, kitchen rolls, and marketing materials are made from 100% recycled materials. Guests are encouraged to ensure that all taps are fully turned off thereby conserving this valuable resource. Water butts are used to collect rainwater to enable us to water plants, clean exterior surfaces, etc. The hosts also support the local economy by using local suppliers and producers when possible.

A quintessential English countryside getaway; the landscape features rolling hills, wildflower fields, singing birds, and star-dusted skies. The pub, shops, and wine bar in Westcott village are a 15-20 minute walk away. Guests can hop on the North Downs Way, a national hiking trail, in Dorking, which is less than a 15-minute drive from the property. Godalming, a historic town on the River Wey, is a wonderful day trip and only 30 minutes away. First-class entertainment, restaurants, shops, and a traditional weekly street market and monthly farmers’ market await in Guildford, also within a 30-minute drive. Haslemere, described as the "fashionable capital of the beautiful Surrey Highlands" is 45 minutes from this property. Central London is only an hour away. Guests love the central location of this property.

Please note this is a quiet site. Music is not allowed on site and after 11:00 p.m. the "no noise" policy goes into effect for the benefit of all guests.

The hosts suggest that guests bring the following: a torch, a toothbrush, toothpaste, waterproof clothing, and wellies/walking boots to explore the muddy countryside.
