We're in a recognized Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with rolling hills, some small wooded areas, and some ancient chalk streams. The hamlet is in an agricultural area surrounded by farmland. There are plenty of footpaths, each corner of the hamlet has one. You can walk for miles without seeing anyone. We have an ancient 15-century church that is always open.
Visitors speak of the tranquility, the dominant noise is birdsong. Due to no light pollution, you can get some incredible night skies.

There are plenty of footpaths. If WW2 is your thing we are 12 miles from The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby and East Kirkby Aviation Centre which are quite close together. The coast is 30 mins away. Lincoln is 35 mins in the other direction.
