Today, its economy prospers from agriculture, forestry, fishing, and tourism. The coast provides many outdoor activities, including the Millennium Coastal Park, the National Wetlands Centre, and Burry Port and Pembrey harbors. Llansteffan and Pendine beaches are popular destinations, as is visiting the boathouse of Dylan Thomas, a Welsh poet. Inland, glampers can visit medieval castles, hillforts, and standing stones.
