Welcoming Stone Cottage Rental With a Wood-Fired Hot Tub near Knighton, Wales
Cottage in Felindre, Wales
4 guests
This stone cottage rental is located near Knighton, Wales, and can accommodate four guests inside a cozy dwelling that was converted from a former tractor shed into an updated living, sleeping, cooking, and dining space that provides comfort and luxury while retaining its rustic charm, replete with exposed stone walls, brace doors, and a traditionally constructed oak ledge.
It has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. In each of the bedrooms, guests will find two twin-size beds with zip and link mattresses that can be joined together to form a king-size bed, providing them with the versatility to suit couples, friends, and family members alike. Both bedrooms also provide lovely views of the surrounding gardens and countryside.
The bathrooms of the cottage are just as cozy and rustically luxurious as the rest of the cottage. One of them features a spa bathtub, a toilet, and a sink, all surrounded by wood paneling and exposed stone walls. The other features a marble-topped vanity/sink, along with a toilet and a shower. Linens and towels are provided, including luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and Prince of Wales tartan runners and cushions.
In the sitting room, guests will find a television with Sky TV, a dining table, a cast iron electric stove, and French doors opening to the patio and the enclosed terraced garden. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an Everhot cooking range, a microwave, a refrigerator, a kettle, and granite countertops. The range is built in a traditional style and operates like an Aga, providing additional warmth to the kitchen while cooking. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, oil-fired central heating, double glazing, brace doors, exposed stone walls, a compliments tray, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Outside, guests will find a terraced garden with a patio, a garden table, and an eco-friendly, wood-fired hot tub that can also be rented for use with prior booking (as it requires four hours and 1,600 litres of water to fill it, and then another four to six hours to fully warm it).
Around the surrounding site, guests will find another well-established garden and paddocks, which are home to free-range chickens, sheep, horses, dogs, and cats. They will also find walking and bridle paths to the surrounding hills and nature preserves, as well as a range of facilities and services for walkers, cyclists, and horseback riders (please see the Facilities and Services sections for more details).
The hosts of the site have extensive knowledge of the surrounding region and can provide advice and resources for walking, cycling, and horseback riding routes. The site provides facilities for all three activities (see below), and the hosts can provide additional services for them as well (see the services section). Bridle paths and walking paths lead right from the site to the surrounding hills and nature reserves.
Guests who wish to go walking will find drying facilities for their wet boots and clothing and off-road parking in which they can leave their vehicles by prior arrangement if they plan on walking to their next destination.
Guests bringing bicycles will find lock-up and wash-down facilities.
Guests bringing horses will find a variety of facilities at the site, including 12 airy stables, fenced paddocks that are divided into pens with electric fencing to ensure adequate turnout space, wood-pellet bedding, hay, an arena, a tack room, and parking space for lorries and trailers.
