This waterfront studio is located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and can provide two guests with a romantic getaway, although there is a space for a third guest. The bedroom area is furnished with a queen-size bed flanked by nightstands with bedside lamps and a large room divider. In the bathroom, guests will find double sinks, a separate makeup vanity, a toilet, and a combination bathtub/shower. Linens, fluffy towels, and starter toiletries are provided, including scented Epsom salts.

In the living area, guests will find a full-size futon, a wooden rocking chair, a pair of side tables, a storage Ottoman, and a walk-in closet that is stocked with water floats, outdoor towels, extra linens, and other supplies. There is also a wall-mounted television can be viewed from either the bed or the futon. On the other side of the room divider, the dining area contains a dining table that can seat three guests and a breakfast bar with a pair of chairs. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a refrigerator, a stainless steel sink, and cabinets stocked with all of the supplies guests need for cooking, cleaning, and dining. Other amenities include a collection of DVDs, central air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a private entrance, and eight windows, providing a variety of scenic views from all four sides of the accommodation.

Outside, guests will find a private deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening bottle of wine. On colder or rainy days, there is a screened porch. A charcoal barbecue grill is available to light up for summer cook-outs in the garden. Guests can use the private dock for their boats, or simply for sitting on and dipping their toes in the water. Guests will also find a garden, in which guests can play bocce ball and horseshoes, fly kites, or simply watch the bay as boats float by and birds fly overhead.

Inside the rental, guests will enjoy amenities such as central air conditioning, a full kitchen, a dining table, a coffee/tea bar, a full bathroom, a lounge area, a futon, and a queen bed. Outside, guests will find a private deck with Adirondack chairs, a screened in porch, a charcoal barbecue grill, and a private dock. The hosts also have plenty of parking for a boat trailer and car. A full kitchen and amenities, a large bathroom, floats for lazing in the bay, a bonfire pit, a BBQ grill, and small crab pots to use at the dock are all provided for guests.

As the hosts strive to be a "get away from it all" location, they do not provide Wi-Fi or cable TV. They do have a TV (local channels) with a DVD player and an old-school VCR with an extensive eclectic collection to choose from. The rental also has some books, binoculars, and birding guides for guests to use during their stay.

The hosts provide floats for guests to use in the bay, outdoor games, camp chairs to bring out to the bonfire pit and watch the sunset, and a screened in front porch for guests' outdoor dining pleasure or to watch the sunrise and see the watermen coming in with their catch. The screened in porch has plenty of seating and also a napping lounge to read a book or simply relax with a coffee, a glass of wine, or a favorite snack. This spacious studio is located in Fishing Creek, Maryland, where it is situated right by the shore of Chesapeake Bay on Hoopers Island. The property is set within a narrow isthmus of the island, with the bay on one side and Back Creek and the Honga River on the other side, where guests can see nesting ospreys and fishing boats. This is one of the few getaways in the area to have both a waterfront and water out back.

About 15 minutes to the north, guests will find Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, which encompasses 25,000 acres of brackish tidal marsh, mixed evergreen and deciduous hardwood forest, and open water habitats that provide a sanctuary for migrating birds, bald eagles, and Delmarva Peninsula fox squirrels which were on the endangered species list until recently. Next to the refuge, guests will also find the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park, which where Harriet Tubman was born and grew up, and is now home to the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center.

Guests will find Old Salty's, serving fresh seafood and more, within walking distance of the rental. Open Wednesday through Sunday, it is a favorite for many on the Delmarva peninsula. There is a marina for larger watercraft and the hosts have a dock for guests' smaller boats/kayaks/etc. There is plenty of parking for a boat trailer and a car. Hoopers Island general store is on the island, which also serves light meals and a great assortment of items for guests' stay. It really is a lovely way to while away an afternoon or a nice way to spend a night at one of their evening events.
