Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge is only 15 minutes to the south. Here, guests will find hiking and biking trails, along with facilities for hunting, fishing, crabbing, and boating. Providing a habitat for over 240 bird species, it is also a bird watcher's paradise. The site is about one hour from Dover, one hour and 15 minutes from Annapolis, an hour and a half from Wilmington, and two hours from Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia.

While on the grounds, guests will have ample opportunities to walk and relax in nature, as they explore the 70-acre estate. Many native and migratory birds live or stop by in the area, so bird watchers will be especially well-situated. Guests can also take a dip in the outdoor pool. Only 15 minutes to the south, they can go bird watching, hiking, biking, hunting, or fishing at Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge. In the town of Rock Hall, only five minutes away, they can visit crafts and antique shops, restaurants, cafes, and a grocery store. They can also rent kayaks from Chester River Kayak or boats from Eastern Neck Boat Rentals.
