Johnsville

Johnsville is a town that lies just south of the famous Adirondack Mountains, and which is defined almost entirely by the surrounding New York wilderness. It is a place that attracts a large number of campers throughout the year, mainly due to the nearby mountains having a mix of heady scenery and outdoor activities. The Nearby Lassellsville State Forest is a welcome introduction to the world of the Adirondacks, where hiking trails start at the edges of the park and wind their way through the trees. The Royal Mountain Ski Area has an irrevocable buzz in the winter months when ski season starts, and the Mohawk River- which runs across the doorstep of the town- provides scenic riverside walks all year round.
