Additional info
Our cabin is only about 15 miles (25 minutes) to Mount Airy, NC. Mount Airy is Andy Griffith's "Mayberry" and has so much to see! You can explore the downtown, eat lunch in a cute diner, book a ride in an old-fashioned squad car, walk up and down Main Street and check out all the shops, visit the Andy Griffith Museum or drive by his childhood home, and so much more! There are a couple of breweries in Mount Airy that offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and there is a delicious dinner option, Old North State Winery, if you'd like a real treat.
Galax, VA is also not a far drive, about 35 minutes, and a nice little town to visit - particularly if you'd like to ride your bikes on the New River Trail. The New River Trail is a 57-mile long rail-trail that our guests often explore. There is a great brewery there as well, Creek Bottom Brewing Company. Also check out the Bluegrass Music Center, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and not far from Galax.
Floyd, VA is also a fun town to visit, especially if you like Bluegrass Music! Check out the Floyd Country Store while in town.
