This cozy cabin is set in the idyllic Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia and is perfect for a restful-but-adventure getaway. The cabin is in a secluded spot with no neighbors so couples will really be able to get away from it all.

The cabin has one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed with all the bedding provided, and some storage so guests can fully unpack and make this rental home for their stay. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and a washbasin. The hosts have also provided toiletries including soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Guests don't need to worry about bringing their own towels as these have also been provided.

The fully-equipped kitchen has all the cookware and utensils necessary to cook up a delicious home-cooked meal. The hosts have also provided basic pantry items such as salt, pepper, olive oil, butter, and a selection of spices. There are a couple of comfortable armchairs for guests to enjoy in the open-plan living area, the perfect place to unwind after a day of excursions and hiking. There is Wi-Fi for guests to use as well so they can stay connected, and there is even a landline phone.

Outside, guests can sit out on the deck and enjoy the scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains while having breakfast and a cup of coffee, or in the evenings with a glass of wine as the sun sets and the stars come out over this idyllic location.

Scenic views
This secluded cabin is on the south side of Iron Mountain in the Jefferson National Forest’s Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. From the cabin, there are wonderful views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers. There are numerous trails perfect for hiking within an easy reach of the rental, including the well-known Appalachian and Virginia Creeper Trails. In addition, there is the Iron Mountain Trail, the Skulls Gap Trail, and much more.

For those who enjoy fishing, the Whitetop Laurel Creek is well known for is wild trout and provides fishing all year round. Famous routes such as the famous Route 58, also known as The Crooked Road, the Grayson Highlands State Park and Parkway, the balds at Elk Garden, and the highest elevated road in Virginia towards the peak of Whitetop Mountain, all surround the cabin. The cabin is also only 10 miles south of Interstate-81 and the town of Chilhowie, Virginia.

With the Blue Ridge Mountains on the doorstep of the cabin, guests can head out on numerous hikes or even horseback riding excursions along some of the numerous trails that surround the rental. All the routes are of varying length and difficulty. Some of the more popular trails include the loop hike on the Iron Mountain and Feathercamp trails, the loop hike on Appalachian and Virginia Creeper Trails from Straight Branch, and the loop hike on Appalachian Trail, Virginia Creeper Trail, and Grassy Ridge Road.

There is also the option to head out on bikes along a lot of these trails. Visitors can also hike to the summit of Whitetop Mountain, which is the second-highest in Virginia. Bear Tree Lake is the great place to head out for a relaxing day of swimming and fishing. Located within the Backbone Rock Recreation Area, the lake also boasts its own hiking trail that circles the lake. For glampers who enjoy more adrenaline-filled fun, there is the Creeper Trail Zipline which takes visitors for a speedy trip through the hills.

For some cultural activities, guests can visit the Damascus Brewery or the Wolf Hills Brewing Company for some local beer in nearby Damascus and Abingdon. Also in Abingdon is the Abingdon Farmer's Market, where local farmers and artisans sell their wares.
