Riverton Accommodation | Cabins near Spruce Knob
Tucked in the woods, this cabin is the perfect home base while you explore WV. The mountains are calling you to experience their breathtaking beauty and exciting adventures! Try hiking on Spruce Knob, zip-lining at Nrocks, hiking or rock climbing at Seneca Rocks, photographing waterfalls, stargazing at Spruce Knob, ETC! Back at the cabin at the end of the day, you will experience both comfort and camping (glamping— glamorous camping)!
Get lost from the distractions of technology and the stress of life and spend quality time with your loved one!
--This is a one-room cabin.
--At the end of your adventurous day, fall asleep in the comfy queen bed under the fluffy duvet while listening to the crickets.
-The kitchenette has basic cooking and eating utensils and linens, as well as a small frig (like a motel would have), microwave, single-burner hot-plate, and coffee pot. Several pots and pans are provided as well. If you don’t want to cook on vacation, check out our guidebook for restaurant suggestions.
-- The bathroom offers fresh bath linens, a hot shower, TP, hand soap, and body wash are provided.
--Still wishing for a taste of camping though? You can get that here too! Outside, you can grill and have a picnic with the fire pit, picnic table, and park-style charcoal grill available.
Please note that we do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am or before.
Bring an all-wheel drive vehicle in the wintertime. The mountains are beautiful year around, but they are steep.
Please do not drink the tap water at the cabin. You will find several bottles of water under the kitchen sink. Other than that, you will need to bring drinking water.
This is a get-away-from-it-all vacation. There is currently no phone service at the cabin, but it does have WiFi now! You can also get WiFi at the Gateway Restaurant 3 miles from the cabin or at Yokum’s in Seneca Rocks (20 minutes away). AT&T can be received 15 minutes from the cabin, between the cabin and Seneca Rocks (and various other places throughout the area). You can get Verizon in Canaan Valley, which is approx. 50 minutes from the cabin.
Some of our guests have gotten service at the East Overlook approx. 6 miles up the road on the way to Spruce Knob.

Furthermore, Blackwater Falls State Park is named after the amber waters of the Blackwater Falls, an impressive 57-foot thundering waterfall tinted by the tannic acid of fall red spruce needles and hemlock.
