This is a scenic, fairly remote area, and the cell service is limited to nonexistent. Guests should be prepared to be immersed in nature and be refreshed without the distractions of modern technology.

Seneca Rocks is only 3.8 miles away where glampers may hike or rock climb. Spruce Knob, the highest point in the state offers a variety of hiking trails and astounding views; it is around 45 minutes away. Monongahela National Forest is located within several miles, while Seneca Caverns can be reached in 25 minutes. Nelson Rocks, which offers rock climbing, zip lining, and more, is 35 minutes away, approximately. Blackwater Falls State Park is a 45-minute drive from the property, and Canaan Valley State Park can be reached in just half an hour. Additionally, glampers will have easy access to many nearby ski areas for snow sports in winter.

Surrounded by state parks and outstanding views of the mountains, glampers will have a large selection of outdoor activities to choose from during their stay. Glampers can head to one of the nearby state parks for hiking and mountain biking along scenic nature trails teeming with native wildlife. Horseback riding is another fantastic way to explore the scenic mountain landscape, and guests will be just 1/2 hour away from a riding facility. The region's plentiful lakes, rivers, and streams provide ideal conditions for trout fishing.
The area's terrain is also excellent for snow sports including downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. For a more laid back activity, guests can head to the Canaan Valley Resort Golf Club, which boasts more than 6,000 acres of woodlands, meadows, hills, and streams. While at the resort, guests can indulge in a luxurious spa service. In the neighboring towns of Davis and Thomas, guests can browse local shops for unique souvenirs, dine together at one of the numerous delicious restaurants, or enjoy a latte in a quaint coffee shop.
