This lakeside vacation rental is located on Flathead Lake, Montana, and can accommodate 14 guests for a getaway to the largest natural freshwater lake in the Western United States. The luxury cabin has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom spread between the main residence and a loft.
The main residence contains four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and the half bathroom. The first bedroom is a master suite featuring a queen-size bed, French doors that open to a courtyard, and an ensuite bathroom with double walk-in shower, a Japanese soaker tub, double sinks, and a washer and dryer.
The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and provides views of the lake. The third bedroom contains two bunk bed sets consisting of four twin beds in total, while the fourth bedroom contains another twin bunk bed set and a full-size bed. These three bedrooms share a bathroom in which guests will find two vanities and a double shower. Both bathrooms feature travertine stone floors and granite vanities.
In the living room, guests will find a leather sofa, a leather loveseat, and a pair of sofa chairs set beneath a vaulted ceiling and a majestic 20-foot stone fireplace. Guests will find another leather sofa in the library, along with a collection of more than a thousand books.
The fully-equipped kitchen comes with double ovens, a five-burner stove, a side-by-side refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher, a blender, a coffee grinder, a coffeemaker, and a slab granite island set beneath a 20-foot ceiling with exposed trusses. In the dining room, guests will find a table that can seat 12 guests with extensions.
The loft contains one bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the bathroom is fitted with a shower. From the loft, guests will enjoy expansive views of the lake.
Other amenities include Wi-Fi, heating, and a high-definition television with basic cable and Apple TV. Outside, guests will find a courtyard with a fireplace, a covered patio with a variety of seating and an oversized Weber gas grill, fruit orchards, and stone steps leading down to the lake.
This rental consists of a main residence and an above-garage loft that can be rented jointly or separately. With the largest natural freshwater lake in the Western United States just footsteps away, and with millions of acres of natural splendor awaiting exploration to the north and the east, guests will be in the perfect place to enjoy an array of outdoor activities.
On Flathead Lake, they can go swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating, and fishing for mountain whitefish, yellow birch, largemouth bass, and a variety of trout. Watercraft rentals are available from a variety of local outfitters, such as the Flathead Boat Company.
At Wild Horse Island State Park, guests can go hiking through an old-growth Ponderosa pine forest while keeping an eye out for bighorn sheep, mule deer, songbirds, waterfowl, bald eagles, falcons, and five wild horses. Beyond the state park, the hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities are virtually inexhaustible, with well over three million acres and 3,500 miles of trails to explore in Flathead National Forest and Glacier National Park. The national forest alone is home to about 250 species of wildlife, including moose, grizzly bears, mountain goats, and porcupines.
For skiing, guests can hit the slopes at Whitefish Mountain Resort, where they can also go mountain biking and zip-lining in the summer.
