New Milford, Connecticut is a charming town with close proximity to numerous attractions, such as Emmanuel Williamson Park and the Institute for American Indian Studies Museum and Research Center. Head to The Village Green for a small range of restaurants and coffee shops, or to one of the many parks close by, such as Lovers Leap State Park, Bulls Bridge, and Kent Falls State Parks. The nearby parks have excellent hiking options, and many trails take hikers past the remains of the former industrial past of the town. The New Milford Historical Society and Museum are top-notch and provide a lot of information about the area, and taking a cooking class at the Hunt Hill Farm is well worth the experience.
