Hiking, kayaking and biking are just a few of the many outdoor activities available in the area. In the immediate vicinity, guests can explore the woods surrounding the cabins, and in the colder months, a VAST snowmobile trail is available for guests with their own snowmobiles, or Stowe Snowmobile Tours rent snowmobiles. Taking a scenic drive westward through the inimitable Vermont landscape gives access to the Smuggler’s Notch State Park. Here guests can hike on Mount Mansfield, and the ArborTrek Canopy Adventures biplane and aerial adventure park offers zip line canopy tours, treetop obstacle courses and climbing adventures for all ages. 10 minutes away is the Green River Reservoir State Park, where guests can go kayaking, or 5 minutes further north is Lake Eden for kayaking or canoeing in its pristine waters. For a more relaxed visit, the Copley Country Club in Morrisville is just over 4 miles away, offering a 9-hole golf course, and the Stowe Country Club offers a full 18 holes. Guests can quite literally make the most of the fruits of Vermont with apple picking at the Dolly Gray Orchard in Hardwick and horse rides and sleigh rides can be found at Lajoie Stables, just half an hour away from the cabins. For those who perhaps don’t want to brave the cold, a wide selection of indoor activities are also available, such as: brewery tours; Ben & Jerry’s or Cold Hollow Cider Mill factory tours; wine tasting; and theaters and galleries, all a short drive away. For local dining, guests can venture to Morrisville to the Lost Nation Brewery and Pub for organic, local foods, or Moog’s Pub for live music most evenings. Deb’s Place will whip up a delicious breakfast, and there are many more options in the surrounding towns of Stowe, Johnson and Jeffersonville.
