West Townshend

The entire village of West Townshend, Vermont is a registered historic district, and its period charm is matched only by its dramatic location amid a steep river valley surrounded by the rolling forested hills and rugged mountaintops of Vermont’s eponymous Green Mountains. The settlement is ideally located for visitors wishing to avail themselves of the ski facilities of the nearby Stratton Mountain and Mount Snow ski areas, both within a 30-minute drive, or of the numerous hiking trails, including the internationally famous Long Trail, to be found in the Green Mountains National Forest. After enjoying the outdoors, glampers can then head to one of the many characterful New England towns that dot the area such as Brattleboro with its arts scene or historic Manchester with its boutique shops and 18th century taverns to experience the truly authentic flavor of the Green Mountain State.
