About this place
This unique hobbit house is perfect for luxury camping on Bainbridge Island and offers glampers an unforgettable getaway from Seattle. The hobbit house was hand-built to mirror JRR Tolkien’s famous novels, and provides a one-of-a-kind experience in Washington State.
Inside, glampers can enjoy a fun-filled interior with a cozy full sized futon for two, a table with two chairs, and an electric fireplace. There is also a portable bathroom with a hand-washing station located 50 yards away from the Hobbit Hole. Cozy bedding and pillows provided.
After an exciting day out, glampers can kick off their shoes and enjoy the warm atmosphere of the hobbit house. Sunsets are beautiful from the outdoor area, and there are two chairs and a table where glampers can enjoy a cup of tea in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
Note: Our property is adjacent to our local 2 lane highway, and there will be some highway noise, especially during the day. We think of it as "ocean noise" and it is noticeable when outside of the Hobbit house. Inside is nice and quiet!
During the summer the hosts like to open the retreat up to more people. Additional guests to six people provided some sleep in tents outdoors they bring for an additional fee of $20 per tent paid on site.
