Onalaska

Onalaska is a charming small community located in Lewis County, Washington. The little town is situated just slightly to the north of the Cowlitz River and is also close to Carlisle Lake, Riffe Lake and Mayfield Lake, the latter of which is home to Ike Kinswa State Park and Mayfield Lake Park. There are several other natural areas worth visiting during a stay in Onalaska, all of which are within easy reach by car. Lewis and Clark State Park and Capitol State Forest are two of the smaller nearby spots, while those looking for some truly epic natural scenes should head to Mt Ranier National Park or Mt St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. Day trips to a big city can be accommodated by the nearby city of Olympia, which is about an hour’s drive north.
