Secluded on 10 private acres of woodland, this charming, off-the-grid vintage cabin is set on Vashon Island, Washington, and it is perfect for a couple to escape the city for a romantic getaway.

There is a wonderfully comfortable queen-size bed, as well as a sleeping loft with two twin beds. The bathroom is in a separate building just a few steps from the cabin, and it includes a combined tub and shower and a composting toilet maintaining the eco-friendly goals of the host. The kitchen has all the utensils and cookware glampers will need to cook up some tasty meals each day, which can be enjoyed at the dining table. There is a wood-burning stove in the cabin that keeps it warm and cozy.

Outside, the rental boasts a large, covered deck. Here, guests will find cushioned chairs that are great for taking in the beautiful views of the Vashon Island forest. Additionally, there is a fire pit with a grill, as well as a barbecue, perfect for cooking burgers and steaks, or for roasting marshmallows and s'mores at the end of a fun-filled day.

This is a secluded and rustic glamping experience. There is a composting toilet in a small building a few steps away. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hot plate, a microwave, a coffee and tea maker, a Crock-Pot, a blender, and all necessary cookware and dinnerware, and guests can also cook on the BBQ, fire pit, or camp stove. The rental has a large, covered deck with outdoor furniture.

Vashon Island offers an abundance of exciting activities to enjoy. This part of the world is known for its fun and liberal community that has artistic and environmental values. There of plenty of nature activities to do on the island, and hiking and cycling are great ways to get to know the beautiful setting. There is also live entertainment for guests to enjoy. There are also plenty of restaurants and cinemas in close proximity for glampers to discover. The art center is definitely well worth a visit for guests who are hoping to soak up a bit of culture during their stay.

There are some fun and even quirky annual events on Vashon. Some highlights include getting dressed up and going to watch the Academy Awards at the historic Vashon Theatre. For birders, the Vashon-Maury Audobon Society holds guided tours on the second Saturday of each month. Vashon is known for its many diverse artists, which is celebrated at the Art Gallery Cruise on First Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Farmers Market features local food, crafts, and music every Saturday starting in April and running until mid-December.

For hardcore athletes, the Vashon 50K Ultramarathon and Trail Run occurs each summer. People come from near and far for the Sheepdog Classic each June. Glampers can enjoy the 4th of July fireworks on Quartermaster Harbor, while the puppy stays in the calm and quiet cabin. Strawberry Festival draws many people for a wide range of activities, and The Lavender Festival happens each summer. Glampers can come and see over 20 varieties of the flower.

Low Tide celebration is a distinctly Vashon community event. For motorcycle enthusiasts, the NW Classic Old Bike event is usually the Sunday before or after Labor Day, and Passport2Pain is the annual bike ride throughout the island. Ciderfest is a great event for all ages, usually held on the first Saturday in October, or whenever the harvest happens. Point Robinson Lighthouse throws a party and open house each winter.
