From the site, guests will enjoy easy access to the many local attractions in the area. At Wakulla Springs State Park, guests will find many outdoor recreational opportunities set amid one of the world's largest freshwater springs. At St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, they will find salt marshes full of wildlife, a historic lighthouse, and hiking trails. At Natural Bridge Battlefield Monument, they can visit the site of an important Civil War battle. Between an hour to two hours from the cabin, they can also visit a variety of beaches, such as Carrabelle Beach, Mexico Beach, and Panama City Beach.
The city of Tallahassee—the state capital of Florida—is only 25 minutes away, where guests will find many shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Florida State Capitol, Alfred B Maclay Gardens State Park, and the Tallahassee Museum. The city is also home to the nearest international airport, making transportation to the cabin easy for guests traveling from afar.

With the St. Marks River flowing right past the cabin, guests will be very well-positioned for kayaking and canoeing. They will find many more options for outdoor recreation at nearby Wakulla Springs State Park. They can go hiking on the Nature Trail, the Cherokee Sink Trail, and the Bob Rose Trail. On the first two of these trails and the paved park drive, guests can also go biking and there is an equestrian trail for horseback riding.
Guests can take a glass-bottom boat tour of the springs and they can go swimming and snorkeling in the fresh spring waters which adventurous guests can dive into from a 22-foot diving/observation tower. There is also a grassy beach on the bank of the Wakulla River.
Guests can go scuba diving at Cherokee Sink and cave dive at Emerald Sink and Clearcut Sink. The park also has many caches for geocaching and with its abundance of wildlife and birdlife, it is a prime spot for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. Guests will find even more hiking trails, boating areas, and opportunities for wildlife viewing and birdwatching at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. For sunbathing and swimming at the beach, guests can take day trips to Carrabelle Beach, Mexico Beach, and Panama City Beach.
