This cozy and secluded cabin rental is located in the middle of the woods near High Springs, Florida. It is a few feet away from the calm waters of the Santa Fe River and there is a small beautiful spring a short walk away from the cabin. The cabin can accommodate two guests, perfect for solo travelers or couples. Couples will sleep peacefully on a comfortable double bed. Soft, high-quality linens and extra pillows are provided. The bathroom has a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Fresh towels and a selection of toiletries are provided.
After a long day of snorkeling and caving in natural springs, or tubing and rafting down the Santa Fe River, guests can kick back and watch a movie on the TV. The kitchenette comes with a mini-fridge with a freezer, a double hot plate, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and a tea kettle. Dishes and cooking utensils are provided. The dining table can comfortably seat two guests. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, running water, electricity, and cell service.
In the mornings, guests can sit in the screened-in front porch with a fresh cup of coffee and watch wildlife wander through the woods and gardens. In the evenings, they can relax outside on the furnished patio and roast marshmallows around a fire pit as the sun sets behind the Santa Fe River. The cabin is a short walk away from the banks of the Santa Fe River. Guests can go fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and whitewater rafting along the calm green waters and through marshy swamps. Here, they can also watch birds, view wildlife, or take photos of the unique, scenic landscape. Guests can also swim and snorkel in the natural freshwater springs at Rum Island Park, also a few minutes away from the cabin.
Guests can spend the day in the scenic town of High Springs, just a few minutes outside of Fort White. At Ginnie Springs, guests can swim, snorkel, and scuba-dive in crystalline natural springs, or go caving in nearby caverns. They can soak in natural hot springs at Poe Springs Park, or go hiking and whitewater rafting through O'Leno State Park. Fort White is just half an hour away from Gainesville, home of the University of Florida. Gainesville is a thriving college town with many shops, restaurants, museums, bars, and nightclubs. There are also day spas, golf courses, and yoga studios.
At Ichetucknee Springs State Park, guests can go swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, and kayaking down the Ichetucknee River. The river is also excellent for water tubing and paddle boarding.
