Lamont

Lamont is a fantastic town in northern Florida, surrounded by astounding nature. It's close to the St. Mark’s National Wildlife Refuge, one of the oldest wildlife refuges in the United States. The native flora and fauna here are extensive, ranging from pelicans, bald eagles, manatees, and porpoises, and numerous other incredible species of animals and birds. And the recreational activities here are also extensive, it is possible here to go hiking, biking, birdwatching, fishing, boating, and so much more. Econfina River State Park is also well worth a visit, as is Apalachee Bay, which is not far from Lamont, and home to some incredible beaches. Lamont is also well-located, a mere 20-minute drive from Perry, and 45 minutes to Tallahassee.
