Glamping in Orange County: Orlando Weekend Getaways

Orange County is located in central Florida, home to the highly popular city of Orlando, which also happens to be the largest in the county. Close to Orlando sit the cities of Winter Park and Winter Garden, ready to take you away from the theme parks and into the local, natural parks for some fresh air fun away from the crowds. Winter Park boasts more than 70 parks itself, so while glamping in Orange County, make sure to stop in Central Park for a relaxing day with the family—bring a picnic lunch! Check out the Winter Garden Downtown Historic District for a dose of small town USA with a variety of restaurants, shops, and cafés for a change of scenery, too. Back in Orlando, you’ll find the world-famous Walt Disney World Resort, which includes the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, and Blizzard Beach theme and water parks. Other major theme parks in the area are SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Universal Studios, and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Don’t forget to see Orlando from outside of a theme park, too, while luxury camping in Orange County, like Lake Eola Park, the Tibet-Butler Preserve, Moss Park, and Lake Lizzie Nature Preserve.
