This eclectic riverfront log cabin and artist retreat for groups in Castle Hayne, North Carolina can accommodate up to 15 guests—and is perfect for groups and events—and is constructed out of reclaimed materials. It comes with an art studio and an Airstream available for guests' use. Its features include heated flooring, glass paneling for dynamic light transitions throughout the day, and eclectic decor throughout. This is a great space is also good for bachelor and bachelorette parties or large gatherings up to 150 people.
There are four bedrooms offered and eight beds. Guests will find a mostly open layout both upstairs and downstairs, as well as a grand fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a dining area. The 60-foot rowing scull that pierces each end of the house is exposed upside down along the main interior ridge of the cabin and floats in the 35-foot void of the main salon. Excluding the original cabin, everything has been reclaimed or bought salvage less plumbing and wiring.
There is a living area, which is set with original artwork, a desk, and comfortable lounges. Off to the side of the living area, guests will find a grand piano, a fireplace, and an artists' corner set with an isle. The piano is a nine-foot Knabe concert grand piano circa 1907, with a digital self-player and recording ability. There is a deep water slip, up to sixty feet and directly in front of the cabin. This log cabin was created by artists to inspire themselves and others, it is not polished, but charming, inviting, and inspiring.
The guest house is reserved for the owner unless other arrangements are made.
Facilities include an 80-foot pontoon boat, a fireplace, a grand piano and a barbeque grill. There is also a porch swing, a small dock and a lovely outdoor seating area with a fire pit. Additional features include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and free parking, making it perfect for visitors to enjoy the site with all the necessary necessities.
