The adventure starts right at the site with numerous hiking trails leading guests through the rugged wilderness. Within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, guests will be spoiled for choice of activities from mountain biking to horseback riding. Water activities include whitewater rafting or tubing down the Oconaluftee River and trout fishing in the numerous rivers and streams. In the cooler months, the majestic mountains are capped with glistening snow providing a host of outdoor activities. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are available at Cataloochee Ski Area while families will love snow tubing at Tony's Tube World, just minutes from the site. Also within close proximity to the site is downtown Cherokee with a stunning mountainous backdrop, shops, restaurants, and casinos.
