To best discover the area, glampers have the option of spending each day floating down a river, hiking to stunning vistas and waterfalls, cycling along the paths, or mounting a horse for a look at the scenery from a little higher up. Enjoy water sports, such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and tubing, at only a few miles from the New River—try out whitewater rafting or fly fishing, too. Other activities include zip-lining through or climbing to the top of Elk Knob State Park and admiring the scenic views from Blue Ridge Parkway or Grandfather Mountain Park.
When temperatures drop in the winter months, guests will enjoy the numerous ski resorts in the area, where they can go skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing. Warm up afterwards with a cup of coffee and browse the local boutiques, galleries, and antique shops.
