A stroll along the beach will take guests to Sheer Rocks and Dennis’s cocktail bar and restaurant, both are beautiful spots to watch the sunset over a few drinks before enjoying an evening meal. Tannins tapas and wine bar is located just out of the main gate to Valley Beach and serves food and wines with live music at the weekend.
Jolly Harbour is a popular destination for relaxation and recreation. It boasts a boat marina, lively bars and restaurants, sports facilities including a pool, a gym, and tennis courts, a commercial shopping center, an 18 hole golf course, and the beautiful Jolly harbor beach. All of this is located a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from the getaway.
The turtle watching season in Antigua is March to September. At this time of the year, great, majestic turtles mount the sea shores at night to lay their eggs on the beaches. During the season, the hosts offer all their guests the opportunity to be joined by a friendly local conservation expert who will take them to the perfect spots to witness the turtles coming to nest and help guests make the most of this amazing experience.
The hosts also offer the opportunity to swim with turtles in warm and crystal clear waters. Guests can choose a snorkel tour and help the local guide to spot and ID the endangered turtles as they feed in seagrass meadows. The wild turtles return time and time again and are comfortable with the presence of the guide. This is a great chance to experience a beautifully serene moment with a protected species.
