Disconnect to Reconnect
At our property, we encourage you to embrace a slower pace. Start your day by stepping out onto your private deck as the sun rises over the escarpment, listening to the melody of birdsong and watching kangaroos graze in the morning light.
Explore the farm and connect with the land – meet our friendly cows, take a leisurely walk, and enjoy the freedom and fresh air of the valley. Find peaceful communal spaces to read, journal, or simply relax, far from the busyness of daily life. Rainy days bring their own charm, with board games, books, and your very own record player to enjoy indoors.
Capertee Valley also offers a range of adventures:
• Stop by From the Paddock Café for lunch
• Visit the historic Glen Davis mines
• Embark on a scenic hike or a short drive to nearby Rylstone or Mudgee to explore wineries, arts, and local markets
Please be aware that phone reception is limited, with Telstra providing the best coverage in select areas. While we encourage a true digital detox, power outlets are available for charging. We kindly ask that you leave high-powered devices, such as hairdryers, at home to help us maintain our low-impact setup.
Relax Under the Stars
As the day winds down, savour the setting sun from your deck with a glass of wine or enjoy the views from your private outdoor bath. Gather around your fire pit with marshmallows, lounge in Adirondack chairs, and marvel at the clear, starlit sky – a truly magical ending to a day spent immersed in nature.
Wildnest spans 100 scenic acres, thoughtfully divided into paddocks to maintain harmony between guests and our resident cows. For your safety and theirs, we kindly request that you enjoy observing the animals from a distance and refrain from entering their paddock.
Upon arrival, you’ll enter through a gate at the top of the property, and we’ll provide you with access codes before your stay. The main residence is situated in a separate 5-acre paddock, approximately 300 meters from the glamping tents, ensuring your privacy while offering peace of mind.
The two glamping tents are set within the same paddock and are in close proximity to one another. While you may be able to see the other tent, they are positioned thoughtfully to maximise privacy. Additionally, the Kookaburra tent has a pull-out privacy screen for added seclusion if desired.
A 2WD-accessible driveway guides you down 750 meters to your tent, where a cozy and secluded retreat awaits.
We’re here to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay at Wildnest! While we respect your privacy, we’re always available if you need us. Feel free to reach out via phone or through the Glamping Hub inbox, which we monitor closely during your stay. Whether you have a question, need assistance, or just want some local tips, we’re just a message away.
