This unique holiday accommodation is based in the sub-tropical rainforest at the foot of Mount Warning in the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales, making for a stunning, secluded couples’ getaway near Wollumbin National Park. Surrounded by lush forest, the 12-sided yurt-style accommodation boasts a contoured floor made from eight native timbers and its own 16-meter footbridge. Inside, guests are treated to a king-size bed and a full bathroom with his and her hand basins and showers that include bathrobes and toiletries as well as a cozy fireplace and an array of handcrafted furniture. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a wraparound balcony that features a double hammock and a private spa. Guests will also have access to a television and a DVD player.

Outside, guests will be able to enjoy a rejuvenating outdoor shower among the trees and receive a number of world-class wellness treatments from massages to facials.

Guests are treated to a variety of facilities that ensure they enjoy a relaxing and comfortable getaway including a romantic indoor fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen, a king-size bed, and a selection of fresh towels and toiletries. Outside, guests will be able to enjoy the rejuvenating spa and the outdoor shower as well as the hammock, which is perfect for taking in the sights and enjoying the soothing sounds of nature.

There is a one-night minimum stay during the week, a two-night minimum at weekends, and three-night minimum during public holidays.

Paralysis tick season has begun in the region, and therefore it is imperative guests either treat their dog/s with a tick spray, drops, or purchase a Killtix collar for them at least three days before arriving on the property.

Dogs are not permitted in the National Park.

There is a wonderful leash-free, dog-friendly beach 20 minutes from the property. There is also a swimming hole five minutes away and a great boardwalk along the Tweed River at Murwillumbah.

The property offers a superb variety of on-site wellness treatments including traditional massages of Hawaii and Japan, a number of facials and pamper therapies, and couples’ yoga and meditation sessions. Guests can also explore the Numinbah Valley on horseback or try kayak fishing on the Clarrie Hall Dam, just 30 minutes from the retreat. There are scenic hiking, bushwalking, and biking trails throughout the Wollumbin National Park while the gorgeous beaches of Byron Bay are just a short drive away. Cabarita and Fingal Heads beaches are both dog-friendly with areas where dogs are allowed off the leash.
