This tree house getaway is located within a beautiful wilderness lodge near Tabulam in New South Wales. The tree house can accommodate two and has a comfortable double-size bed. There is an ensuite hot shower and a composting toilet. Linens and towels are not provided but are an optional extra.

The kitchenette comes with a gas burner, ice box, and all other cooking and eating utensils.

The lodge offers free use of canoes within the one-mile stretch of flat water in front of the camping ground. There are a number of four-wheel drive tracks for the adventurous. For those who would like to try their hand at panning for gold in the river, equipment is available to use. The hosts can help guide on bushwalks and there are handbooks available for birdwatching and exploring nature.

Other facilities include open fireplaces, BBQs, composting toilets, and gas-powered hot showers. The lodge is completely off-grid, however, solar panels and minimal impact solutions ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable getaway whilst keeping stays as environmentally sustainable as possible.

The stunning lodge is in the heart of the Aussie wilderness and surrounded by natural beauty. Nestled on the banks of the Clarence River, there is so much to explore and admire. The famous aboriginal Tooloom Creek Falls are situated nearby in Urbenville and is one of the most significant sites in Gidibal country. To the other side, about 15 miles, there is also Bean Creek falls, which makes for a picturesque backdrop as guests enjoy a picnic. Guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities available at this unique and inspiring lodge. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the river, guests can admire the stunning views or explore the waters by canoe.

For the more adventurous, guests can head out along pre-defined mountain bike tracks or go on a bush walk with the hosts. With over 4000 hectares of land to discover, the lodge also joins the remote Cataract National Park, which can also be explored on foot.

Canoe tours, starting from a half day trip up to a week-long tour, are available from a nearby company. Guests can try four-wheel drive adventures in the neighboring Yabbra State Forest or one of the nearby specialist four-wheel drive parks.

The lodge is part of the Old Tooloom Gold Fields where gold was first discovered in 1857 and guests can have a go at panning for gold themselves.

Glampers can also explore the nearby attractions of the Aborigini Tooloom Falls, Bean Creek Falls, and the Pretty Gully Flora reserve. There are also various historic sites such as the Urbenville Pioneer Cottage and tank traps left behind from the war.

For food and drink enthusiasts, there are a number of cafes and restaurants to enjoy. The local CK Cafe in Tabulam is great for lunch and barista coffee, tea, and a sweet treat. The Moon River Cafe in Mallanganee is delightful.

For fantastic local wineries and local produce, guests should travel to nearby Tenterfield, one of Australia's newest wine regions, which has a number of open wineries for tastings and meals.

Additional Information

Depending on the accommodation, there is an extra charge per extra Adult or Child (2 - 16 years). There is a charge of $30 for adults after 2 and a charge of $15 for children that are under 15 years of age.
