Come experience the breathtaking beauty of this tiny house, located at the base of Mt Colosseum (known as Mugul by the local Indigenous people Gooreng Gooreng) in Queensland. The perfect wilderness retreat surrounded by wildlife, such as black-striped and red-shoulder wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, and over sixty bird species.
What's more, we have several walking trails led by your friendly guide, Lee to get you that much-needed exercise, along with the opportunity to climb Mugul, Gladstone's second-highest peak. PRO-TIP: Mount Mugul is best climbed in the winter, as the summer can be extremely hot.
The Space:
It sits near the small town of Miriam Vale in the Gladstone Region. Nestled atop one of our small hills with sweeping views of Mugul Mountain, surrounded by native trees, and native wildlife such as goannas, bandicoots and possums. Enjoy short walks to our rainforest trails and feel refreshed by nature's embrace.
Nearby Miriam Vale, Moore Park Beach, and Baffle Creek are just a few of the attractions available. A comfortable accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for your use.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house except for the land host's private residence (which is 200 metres away), the shed, and two other cabins under construction. If you are interested, we also have pre-orders (and activities) listed below by prior arrangement with the host 24 hrs before arrival.
- Firewood is available for a fee of $8
- Breakfast is available for a fee of $30 pp
- A guided tour of the walking trail is available and subject to Lee's availability
In case of emergencies such as maintenance, repairs, or one that requires medical attention, please contact your host via message or call.

The Neighborhood:
The property sits in the rural countryside of Colosseum, Gladstone Region. The ultimate farm stay QLD retreat (with stunning views of Mugul Mountain, a sacred indigenous site) for meditation to rediscover your own power and strength. Its history goes back to the First Nation peoples, the Gooreng Gooreng, and was a meeting place for tribes prior to European settlement.
We are just an hour drive from Bundaberg, where you can explore restaurants, cafes, and other attractions.

- Miriam Vale is the closest town to the Colosseum, also known as the traditional cattle-growing region.
- Moore Park Beach is a coastal area popular for scenic drives and nesting sites for loggerhead sea turtles.
- Mt Colosseum is a popular attraction known for its steep granite peak and hoop pines towering over the dry rainforest.
- BLD Tuckerbox in Miriam Vale serves delicious meals, including gluten-free options, great coffee, and friendly service.
- Baffle Creek is known for its pristine coastal rivers, conservation parks, and state forests, home to several wildlife species.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1 hr drive from Bundaberg
- 2 hr drive from Hervey Bay
- 6 hr drive to/from Brisbane
- 4 hr drive to/from Sunshine Coast
- 6 mins drive to the nearby town, Miriam Vale. All are reachable by both 2wd and 4wd.
By public transport:
- Guests can fly into the Gladstone airport and hire a car to travel around the region.
- Guests can catch the tilt train from Roma Street station and get off at the Miriam Vale station.
- There is no public transport to travel around the region. It is recommended guests have their own transport.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed, except in designated areas
- Recycling and compost bins are provided to dispose of rubbish properly
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please note this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- If bringing a pet, please clean up after your pet before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
