The property is perfectly located in the Yarra Valley, surrounded by wineries, hot air balloons, restaurants, cafes, and the famous Yarra Valley Chocolatier just a stone’s throw away or a quick bike ride away. There are many places to explore in the Yarra Valley and they are all pretty much on the door step. The city of Melbourne is an hour away by car and there is an easy access to the train station 20 minutes away in Lilydale, with daily buses running along the Melba Highway, just a kilometer away from the property.
Activities near Dixons Creek
Food related activities include, Dixons Creek Cafe Bar and Grill, which is only 5 minutes up the road from your accommodation. It has a cosy fire for winter and air conditioning for the summer months plus the food is fabulous. The Yarra Glen Hotel is the local pub, built in 1888 and is now a building listed by the National Trust. They offer great food and local wines and has a variety of beers on tap. They use some locally sourced produce in the creating of their menu. Lastly, Seb's Place Pizza Restaurant and Take Away has authentic pizzas made by a lovely Italian man!
Guest looking to do some sightseeing should climb Mount Saint Leonard, visible from the tiny house but needs to be accessed by car. Hot air balloon rides will give guests a chance to see the Yarra Valley from a bird's eye view and to create great memories. Nearby nature activities include Kinglake National Park abd Toolangi State Forest.
For shopping, guests should check out the local IGA store with a good assortment of vegan and vegetarian produce, as well as many other products found in the bigger supermarkets these days. Also, Yarra Glen Market is the local farmer's market open every first Sunday of every month, except over the colder winter months.
