Upon entering the serene slice of heaven, guests will be delighted to find an entire wall of crystal clear floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, sporting views of the valley. Vantage points of the green rolling hills are accessible all throughout the property, and guests are encouraged to enjoy them all. Two deep cherry-red vintage leather button and stud sofas rest in an L-shape around the television in the living room, complete with a DVD library, coffee table, books, and magazines. The spacious room boasts not only incredible natural light from the massive windows but also a cozy reading nook, a bean bag chair for casual lounging. A sleek dining room table rests in front of the windows, set for six guests to enjoy meals, games, and laughter together against a sunrise or sunset backdrop. The open-concept kitchen overlooks the luxurious living space and provides plenty of room for guests to prepare delicious home-cooked meals at the retreat, inside or outside. In the fully-equipped kitchen, guests will find a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stovetop burners, electric tea kettle, coffeemaker, and sink. In the middle of the kitchen, there is an island with three high stools, facilitating a relaxed breakfast bar for easy kitchen conversation between guests.

Glampers are encouraged to visit the seasonal kitchen garden before beginning meal preparation to add fresh flavors, vegetables, and fruit to the menu. Overlooking the garden, glampers will find a two-person bistro table that boasts not only the serenity of the garden but also of Wild Dog Valley, for morning coffee or afternoon tea with a view. Guests may also wish to fire up the barbecue grill outside for even more interesting and fun meals. Glampers are more than welcome to pass the time sitting at the patio table on the deck, soaking up sunshine and fresh country air.

The beautiful getaway plays host to three bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to match the modern interior of the rest of the rental. Although the common areas are available to everyone on the property, glampers will have private access to one of the bedrooms on site. In the bedroom, guests are invited to unwind in the soft queen-size bed as they gaze out either of the two windows on the patio and hills. Light bounces off the white walls, creating an airy and calming space for guests to find relaxation.
While the two spacious bathrooms in the farmland escape each host a toilet, the first bathroom also features a spa-worthy soaking bathtub looking out on the valley, twin sinks, and a walk-in shower. The second bathroom hosts a glass walk-in shower and one sink. A washer/dryer is available for guest’s laundry needs, along with provided linens and towels.

An ideal destination for picnics and long walks, the park houses The Giant’s Circuit Walk, a trail that follows an out of commision tramline route from Lorkin Creek to the Standing Giant, an unbelievable Mountain Ash tree estimated to be over 300 years old. McDonald’s Track provides two lookouts for guests to take in panoramic views of the Latrobe River Valley, Westernport Bay, and the Great Dividing Range.
