There is plenty to do in the surrounding area to cater for all interests. With wonderful weather in summer and intermittent snow in winter.
The Warburton Rainforest Gallery is a beautiful boardwalk that leads visitors over streams and through an area with picturesque tropical trees and ferns.
The area boasts wineries, farm gates, animal sanctuaries, cycling, walking and riding trails, and swimming, the list is endless! Local peak Mount Donna Buang is well worth exploring as it is a beautiful forested mountain surrounded by giant ash forests with trails leading up to the summit. The mountain offers a tower to climb for commanding views of the Upper Yarra Valley and there is snow for tobogganing in the winter. There is a large car park near the top of the mountain and a spring that runs with clear, cool mountain water.
The local redwood forest is extremely atmospheric, reminiscent of both Southern California and the Blair Witch Project. It's an excellent spot for photographs! The hike to La La Falls is great for visitors of all ages and offers plenty of opportunities to view nature, as well as seeing the waterfall at the peak. There is a rainforest trail to the largest tree in the state the Ada Tree!
Phoenix the owner of the gypsy wagon is helpful with information as well as offering half and full day tours to the popular sights and secret places with a local's knowledge and insight.
