Turtles, manta-rays, and whales often visit these waters, and best of all, low tides in the evening make night snorkeling or diving an alluring option. The calm waters of Cassange Lagoon are ideal for stand-up paddle boarding, and the crystal clear lagoon is just two minute's walk from the glamping site. The Maraú River empties into Camamu Bay as a powerful cascading waterfall. Not only is it a spectacular sight to behold, the sheer force of the water makes for a great natural hydro-massage. Guests are invited to take a picnic along or alternatively, they can sample the local freshwater crayfish at the charming family owned restaurant on site. Humpback whales come to the local waters to breed in October and November providing a rare opportunity for glampers to get up close and personal with the magnificent marine mammals. The Maraú Peninsula has more than 40 kilometers of beaches lining its coastline, providing an excellent way for guests to explore all their nooks and crannies by bike or quads. Home to the world's second largest rainforest, the Atlantic Forest, it is a fascinating place to explore on foot.
