This private, half-acre cottage rental is located in Garden Bay, on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, and is ideally suited for up to four guests. Garden Bay itself is also know internationally as "The Venice of the North," making this the perfect location for guests looking for a charming getaway experience. The cottage's charm and included amenities, will make for a cozy and convenient stay for glampers.

The cottage is comprised of one bedroom, a four-piece bathroom, a common area, and a sunken TV area. There are skylights in every room. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, a nightstand and a large skylight to view the stars. The queen-size sofa bed in the TV area can easily sleep two more guests. There is a double convertible sofa bed in the common area. The bright bathroom offers guests a tub/shower combination as well as a pedestal sink and toilet bidet. Linens and towels are provided.

The fully-equipped kitchen includes a convention stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, a convection counter top, convection toaster oven, a toaster, and a coffeemaker. All cookware and dinnerware are provided. Coffee, tea and a variety of spices are available for use too. There is seating for four in the kitchen. Guests looking to relax can choose from the common area or the TV area. The centrally-located wood-burning stove is perfect for warming up during the colder seasons. Conveniently tucked away in a corner is a desk area, complete with maps and brochures to help guests make the most of their stay.

The sliding doors in the TV area lead to a private deck where guests will find a patio table with a large umbrella and four chairs, as well as two lounge chairs, and a barbecue. Spending time in this private backyard may just afford glampers the opportunity to catch a glimpse of wildlife often seen in the area. However, guests should note it is most important that wildlife are not to be fed.

Those looking to keep up with an exercise regime will appreciate the home gym set up in the separate garage. Cars may be parked in driveway. A washer and dryer are on located on-site.

The cottage comes equipped with air-conditioning, baseboard heating, and a wood-burning stove to provide for all weather needs. The TV area offers satellite TV, a Blu-ray player, Wii, and Netflix. Free Wi-Fi is available for glampers convenience. A sliding door from the TV area leads to a deck with a BBQ and outdoor seating for four in the private backyard. The cottage also comes with a washer and dryer, and a gym is set up in the separate garage. Free parking is available on-site. A dock belonging to the cottage is located on the lake across the street.

There is a three-night minimum stay.

Check-in time is at 4 p.m. Contact will be made on check-in day to provide the combination for the key box. Check-out is at 10 a.m. Guests must return keys to the key box upon departure.

The strict cancellation policy is flexible in some cases but is to be determined by the host.

Pets are welcome but must stay off the furniture and never be left alone. Please clean up after your pets. There is a $10 pet fee per pet, per visit.

Please leave the cottage clean, dishes washed, dried, and put away. Towels linen be placed in the bathtub. All appliances, lights etc. should be turned off.

No noise is allowed after 11 p.m. Guests may not feed any wildlife.

Guests should note that the cottage is on a septic system and should not flush anything except toilet paper.

Be kind to the environment and take care of the surroundings.

Endless activities are available for glampers to looking to get out and explore the beauty of the Sunshine Coast. Hotel Lake is conveniently located across the street from the cottage. Here guests will find a private dock perfect for lounging in the sun or taking a plunge into the warm water for some swimming. A two-minute drive leads guests to a boat launch and the ocean. The many lakes in the area are the ideal spot to cast a line or rent canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards for some aquatic exploration. Biking, hiking, golfing, horse riding and watersports are all located nearby. The nearest beach is only three kilometers away. Pender Harbour can be seen at its finest by taking an adventure up one of the local mountains.

Serious nature buffs will delight in all the mountains have to offer. Having worked up an appetite after a long hike, guests can head to one of the many restaurants, pubs, and cafes to relax and refuel. Those up for more adventure can take a harbor tour on the Slocat or go on a fishing charter to catch that night´s dinner. For more leisurely options, guests can spend some time wandering through the art galleries, hang out in a coffee shop, or enjoy some fine dining at places such as the Painted Boat or Ruby Lake Resort. A variety of festivals run year-round in Pender Harbour. From races to music and even one dedicated solely to mushrooms, there is no shortage of ways to celebrate all that is this "Little Venice."
