Fabulous Dogsled Retreat Ideal for Columbia Valley Vacations
Tiny house in Golden, British Columbia
4 guests • 1 bedroom • 2 beds • 1 bathroom
This gorgeous tiny house is perfect for Columbia Valley vacations. Glamping in British Columbia offers guests a real off-grid experience and the BC tiny house was built to accommodate guests in a totally unique fashion.
While enjoying a rustic British Columbia getaway, guests will also find the hosts' winter dogsled trail that turns into a wild nature path during summer months and a beautiful picnic area for glampers to use. The BC tiny house also has its very own fire pit and a screened-in gazebo for mosquito protection that guests are free to use. Oil and propane lanterns provide light, water is gravity-fed, and the washroom is an outhouse. When night falls, guests can fire up the woodstove and cozy up with loved ones.
As the Canada tiny house is off-grid and has no electricity, light is provided by battery/propane lanterns and candles, cooking is done on a propane stove, while heating in fall and winter is provided by a wood stove. The bed is located in the loft and is accessed by a ladder and there's an additional pull-out couch on the floor that sleeps two people.
As all the units are off-grid, this means that the cooler provided in the tiny house is not plugged into electricity. If guests wish to store food and drink in a cool place during their stay in BC, the hosts recommend that they bring ice to use in the cooler along with food.
During their stay in BC, guests will enjoy the best views in the valley and there are some truly jaw-dropping national parks in the area such as Glacier National Park and Banff National Park for guests to explore.

Additional info
The mosquitos can be bad in this area as the BC retreat is located within the valley of one of the largest wetlands in North America so guests should bring bug spray.
The hosts have several bears pass through the land each year, but have never had any issues with them. The hosts acknowledge, and love, that they share their space with them. Guests should be respectful and not feed or leave any garbage anywhere for them to eat! Guests should also remove trash with them when they leave, or, if the need be, leave all garbage within the bags provided inside the rental when they depart. Bears have the best noses and will be attracted to trash left outside.
