Guests can start their Saturday morning browsing the stands at the Sechelt Farmer's Market, where they can purchase locally grown vegetables, eggs, yummy jams, and even artisan items like leather goods, pottery, and more. After buying something for a picnic lunch, guests can take the water taxi to visit Thormanby Island. Experienced kayakers can make that journey themselves to the island, where with luck, guests will spot dolphins, whales, seals, and porpoises and enjoy a picnic on the large, sandy beaches. Halfmoon Bay and Secret Cove are other great places to get out on a kayak, or guests can paddle the sheltered waters of Smuggler's Cove—the coast is riddled with hidden inlets and coves perfect for exploring in a kayak or canoe. On a summer day, guests should certainly head down to Coopers Green Beach, just steps away from the property, where they can relax and cool off after a hike. For scuba diving fans, Sechelt and the rest of the Sunshine Coast offer some of the world's finest cold-water diving year-round.
