Big Glamping Tent Nestled in Nature on Large Deck, Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia

Safari tent in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia
3 guests • 1 bedroom • 2 beds • 1 bathroom
This cozy, beautiful space is nestled in a private, wooded area with lots of sunlight. There is a private firepit with bench seating & Adirondack chairs on the deck. The deck has a covered area where you can cook outdoors. The kitchen area is simple but works well. There is lots of storage, a comfortable bed, and a couch. Solar lighting comes on after dark. The pee toilet is on-site & the full outdoor bathroom is nearby. Fun!
You’ll love our cozy, yet spacious tent. The outdoor kitchen has a double-burner propane camp stove as well as a two-burner gas barbecue. There are plenty of pots and pans, frying pans, and a full set of dishes and of course, wine glasses. There is a cozy couch and an expandable table where you can lounge and relax. There are some games, books, and even art supplies to keep you busy. There’s a beautiful fire pit just off the deck with benches on either side to enjoy an evening campfire before hitting the comfy bed. NOTE: We provide firewood for the wood stove but not for the outdoor firepit. You can scavenge to find some or buy some if it's been raining out. The solar lights that come on automatically provide a lovely, cozy atmosphere for relaxing.
The handy overnight pee toilet keeps you from walking the 3 minutes in the dark to our main outdoor compost toilet and shower. The cooler with a supplied ice pack will keep your food nice and fresh. We provide plastic totes to store your food in and away from critters.
To help keep our cleaning costs as low as possible, we provide a duvet, pillows, towels, and dishcloths and ask that guests coming for less than a week bring their QUEEN-SIZE SHEETS & PILLOWCASES. We provide all linens for guests staying a week or longer.
Guests can explore our property, including our orchard area, ponds, Loop Trail through the woods, our organic gardens, and even our chickens and rabbits. While we enjoy meeting our guests, we also respect your privacy. We are available to answer questions and assist you when needed. Guided tours of our property are available for a small fee but you are welcome to explore on your own. We have maps of our property and signage. We live in a gorgeous semi-rural area halfway between Sechelt and Madeira Park, both of which are under 20 minutes away by car. We are up on a mountain with wonderful views of the ocean, islands, and Vancouver Island. Properties on our street are all 10 acres in size.
We have two beautiful suites in our home for guests and have begun the tiny home/glamping part of our project. In addition to these listings, we have a luxury tent trailer nestled in the woods, an RV with an ocean view and a large, private deck as well as a tiny house school bus. We are developing the property for permaculture and have so far built a greenhouse, cleared and planted a small orchard, created several small ponds, built a very productive raised bed garden area and have planted a lilac patch as well as developed another area to grow larger crops like squash, corn and potatoes.
We are walking distance to trailheads including Homesite Creek with beautiful waterfalls.
We provide a duvet, pillows, towels, and dishcloths. Guests coming for less than a week need to BRING QUEEN-SIZE SHEETS & PILLOWCASES. We provide the sheets & pillowcases for guests staying a week or longer. This helps to keep our cleaning costs as low as possible. As it can get quite cold, we provide you with hot water bottles.
