It is located on the border of 27,000 hectares of West Arm Provincial National Park but just two and a half kilometers from Nelson City itself, which makes it conveniently close to restaurants, attractions, and shops while being completely immersed in the soothing surroundings of nature.

Hiking, walking, and biking trails begin just outside the main entrance of the lodge where guests can explore the Selkirk Mountains and where the tallest peak of Mount Sir Sandford stands tall at 11,454 feet. Kootenay Lake is a short drive away from the property where guests get involved in a variety of water sports including kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. Swimming and fishing are also popular on the lake while winter time provides the opportunity to skate outdoors and play ice hockey in Nelson’s Lion’s Park. The slopes of the Whitewater Ski Resort are just a 25-minute drive from downtown Nelson where skiing, snowboarding, and tubing can be done on one of the best powder mountains in North America.

While inside the lodge, yoga and meditation can be practiced in the studio for an energizing start to the day.
